By working with low and middle-income countries to gather evidence that is of direct relevance to decisions about the control of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, the activities of IC-Health should lead to worthwhile health benefits and contribute to social and economic development.

Additionally, by supporting capacity development and institutional strengthening, IC-Health will provide low and middle- income countries with the skills required to develop and promulgate evidence- based policies for chronic disease control.
