This
project was developed by IC Health in association with health
economics researchers from the Earth Institute at Columbia University,
New York. The objective is to assess the macroeconomic consequences of
cardiovascular diseases and diabetes in low- and middle-income
countries. The first phase of this project will involve economic
analyses utilizing existing data. The second phase will involve new
data collection from China, India and several other low- and
middle-income countries. The Global Forum for Health Research has
provided funding for the first phase of this project. IC Health is
seeking expressions of interest from sponsors that might be interested
in supporting the second phase of this project. |
